How to Throw an Indoor Bubble Party

Share

The cold winds are rising and playtime is heading indoors with it. Why not try throwing a bubble party this fall, but indoors! This can be a great activity/event to host for your kids and their friends. The possibilities are endless with this one --and all you’ll need is a few bubble party theme ideas, a large indoor space and some kids to make it happen! Here are a few helpful ideas to get you started!

Where to Start:

|

Bubble party invitations. Throwing a bubble party can be fun before it even begins. The first step to hosting a fun afternoon is getting the theme right, and what better way to bond with your child than by creating personalized bubble party invitations!

Use items such as small plastic balls and permanent markers to customize your invitations. Consider drawing polka dots, or try your hand at drawing your own bubbles!

Bubble party decorations. Setting up for the party can be an event in itself. So enlist the help of your little ones and get decorating together! There are plenty of spots indoors to utilize the decorating power of bubbles, including the stairs, hallways, your living room and theplay room!

Did you know you can find half the materials needed to throw a bubble party lying around the house? Hang bubble wrap from the walls while using Styrofoam balls as hanging decorations around the house --and of course no bubble party is even close to complete without balloons!

A good idea is to stick to a color theme while decorating the house and even match the invitations. To kick up the bubble-love, try throwing a bubble machine in the room so the bubbles never stop flowing! Try Products like the Octopus Party Machine or the R2-D2 bubble blower! More than just real bubbles, don’t be afraid to get creative and construct an indoor bubble ball pit to splash around in! Whatever age your kids are at, who doesn’t love a ball pit? Bubble party themed treats. What party is complete without tasty treats to fill the bellies of the hungry bubble enthusiasts? Desserts such as cupcakes make great party projects by letting the kids get creative with their own cupcakes, using bubble themed ingredients. Try a few of your favorite cupcake recipes with a unique bubble frosting twist. Other creative edible ideas include cakes, donuts or some round shaped Rice Krispie treats. Don’t forget about the drinks! Gather some party straws, and create some party milkshakes! Now would be a good time to allow them to blow bubbles in their milk, just sayin’.

Bubble party games. For anyone who has ever hosted or been to a bubble party, they know that bubble games are the absolute life of the party. You have to get quite creative when hosting indoors because you are limited by your space, but here’s a few fun bubble themed activities to get you started:

|

  • Bubble wrap races: Just grab some bubble wrap, create a track and have the children race across while trying to pop as few of the bubble wrap as possible.
  • Musical balloon popping: Just like musical chairs except in this game when the music stops the players must pop their balloons as quickly as possible. Last one standing wins!
  • Blowing bubble games: This one requires a large open space for kids to move around and can involve anything from popping bubbles as fast as they can to seeing who can keep their bubble alive and afloat for as long as possible. It’s a bubble party so this game is essential and pretty versatile; even indoors.

|

Bubble party favors. End the party with a pop by giving away ingenious bubble themed party favors for guests! Send your guests home with bubble kits like these awesome bubble blowing gear pieces (which can be found here). Other party favor ideas include bubble gum, bubble necklaces/jewelry and any other materials that might inspire some party goers to host a bubble party of their own!

Top it all off with a bubble treat recipe to take home to make with Mom and you are set to host the most popping indoor bubble party that will be the talk of the playground for weeks to come!
