Fun things to do on a rainy day!

You look outside and what do you see... it’s raining, it’s pouring and you’re left bored with nothing to do. Just because the weather isn’t cooperating doesn’t mean there aren’t fun things you can do indoors to keep you entertained. If you’re at home with the kids, challenge them to try different activities that otherwise might not have interested them. Show them that you can do so much more than watch TV or play video games on a rainy day. Try these three activities to help turn that boring rainy afternoon into one of the most fun afternoons yet!

Go camping indoors! Build a Fort!

                Who says you can’t go on a camping adventure indoors? Just because the rain is keeping you indoors doesn’t mean it should keep you from camping with the kids. Gather up some bed sheets and drape them over the couch. Once you have your tent set up, get in there and enjoy as you please! The rain can’t stop you from camping fun. Add some Kiddy Up pitballs to make your tent even more fun!

Bake something!

                Have you ever met someone who doesn’t enjoy freshly baked goods? I know I haven’t. Nothing can help you more with those rainy day blues than whipping up a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. There are many different baking recipes you can try out on a rainy day, so choose your favorite baked goods and get baking! Try making a D-Lectable type cookie!

Host a tea party!

                Hosting a tea party is a fun way to add a little flare to this rainy day. Dress up in some formal attire, set up a table, and remember to showcase your most proper manners. Whether or not you choose to actually drink tea is up to you. You’ll be glad it’s raining out!
