Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Art has been in the toy industry for over 20 years. He is married and the father of two wonderful children.

After attending California State University Northridge, in 1979 Art joined his father’s business as a warehouse assistant. By the time that company was sold in 1984, Art had risen to the head of Sales and Operations. Art then joined Imperial Toy as National Sales Coordinator in December of 1985. Through a rapid succession of promotions, by 1994 he had risen to the position of Executive Vice President. His responsibilities included the day to day operation of the company, as well as continued sales management of key customer accounts. During that period, Art was instrumental in the expansion of the company’s operations, having overseen the opening and ongoing management of facilities in Mexico and Memphis. In 2000, Art was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. He continued to oversee the operations of the company, as well as all sales and product development. With the passing of the company’s founder/owner in September 2003 Art was appointed Co-President, along with Peter Tiger, to oversee the day to day operations of the company. Just over two years later on December 21, 2005, Art along with Peter, bought Imperial Toy from the family of the original owner.

Having worked with Imperial for over half of its history, Art brings to the table a wealth of experience in all areas of the business and has been instrumental in the company’s growth and continued success. Art explains, “The name Imperial has a great meaning to me: dependability, service and value are synonymous with that name.” The toy industry is a highly competitive business, and Art is confident that the Imperial team is up for the challenge.
